What is Coaching?
“We believe the greatest distinction between a mediocre and an exceptional practice is found in the mind of the leader.”
Quite simply… “Leaders of Extraordinary Practices think in Exceptional Ways. They have learned necessary skills to overcome blind spots and self-limiting beliefs that impede their personal, professional, and financial success. They transform their world by consistently achieving goals that others presumed to be unachievable.”

Coaches help their clients stay on track professionally while balancing their work and their personal lives.
What is a LEADERSHIP OR BUSINESS COACH?
First there were consultants. Then there were therapists. Now if you need help sorting out your personal and professional problems, you can hire a Coach—a new kind of adviser who will strategize with you in regular sessions held in person, on the phone or via e-mail.
There is much confusion regarding coaching and how it differs from consulting, mentoring, or clinical psychology. Many consultants call themselves coaches which adds to this confusion. Consultants are utilized to help solve system related problems. Their traditional role, particularly in the healthcare industry, has been to establish business systems and train doctors and staff in managing these systems. Mentors share their own personal business and life experiences with others and help them solve problems by offering answers and solutions. Clinical psychology is intended to bring one from a state of “dysfunction” to a state of “normalcy”. Psychologists deal with past issues that are creating current problems.
Coaching is distinctly different. The coaching process is both future focused and positive in nature. We deal with issues of personal enhancement, and believe that our clients are whole, creative, and resourceful. Coaching is not intended to be remedial in nature. We are not here to provide answers. Rather we help clients develop self-awareness, focus, and cognitive skills that enable them to become better people, leaders, and problem solvers. Our role as coaches is to be less directive and more facilitative. Through the coaching process clients gain a better understanding of who they truly are and what they truly want for themselves. They utilize this new found self-awareness, clarity, and focus in creating the practice and life of their dreams.
Coaching started in the business world to help stressed out executive’s cope with their professional and personal lives. Increasingly more and more dentists, physicians, and other professionals are turning to Coaches and specifically, leadership coaches, to help them with time management, building a business, bringing goals into focus and helping them get further ahead. Cresting profitable practices, happy teams and a balanced life.
Coaching has become the leadership development modality preferred by corporate America. It started in the business world to help stressed out executive’s cope more effectively with the increasing demands of their job and the negative effect these professional demands were having on their personal lives. More recently dentists, physicians, and other professionals are turning to Coaches, and specifically, leadership coaches, to help them with time management, building a business, bringing goals into focus and helping them get further ahead. Through coaching, healthcare professionals are leading more profitable practices and happy teams, while finding the optimal balance between their personal and professional lives.
Coaching is proven to work when these two factors are present:
- The person being coached is willing to grow
- There is a gap between where they are now and where they want to be
- That is all that is necessary for you and your Coach to solve problems, create a new life, turn a business around, increase profitability, and design and implement a plan of action.
